That is what Sam had written down in his assignment notebook last week to study for his “spelling test.” Of course, I had to stifle the raucous guffaw deep within me dying to escape. Shoot, doesn’t the boy know that the word “spelling” has two l’s in it? This is second grade after all, snap to it, little man!
But what did I say? Nothing, not a word. Why? It was too dang cute. I’m probably doing him a disservice, but I can’t help myself. He’ll figure it out by middle school, right?
Off to help him study. Apparently we’ve got our work cut out for us. Just hoping that “spelling” is not one of the actual spelling words!
