Hershey really is a sweet place, and we brought home bags full of chocolate to prove it!  Never fear, we had plenty of chocolate there, too.
In fact, I have that post-Halloween candy overload feeling and a couple of extra pounds to boot, but what a great way to go down!  How can you be in Hershey and not take it all in?  This is the home of the world’s largest chocolate factory after all!

And by “taking it all in,” I had no idea how many candy products that Hershey actually makes!  In addition to the normal wide assortment of Kisses and their various chocolate bars, they also make Reese’s, Twizzlers, Jolly Ranchers, Cadbury, Whoppers, Kit Kat, Ice Breakers, Almond Joy, and lots of others that I am forgetting at the moment.  Oh yes, Junior Mints, they make those, too!

In fact, Sam was on such a high-flying chocolate buzz that he was excited to see the Junior Mint guy even though he hates mint.  It is amazing what chocolate can do for one’s mood!  God bless Milton Hershey!

When you check in at the Hershey Lodge, the clerk hands you a pile of chocolate bars.

Then when the maid cleans your room, she puts Hershey Kisses on your pillow.  That’s Nirvana!

And there are decorative Kisses all over town!
Hershey Kisses light the way!

And the Kisses in the entryway!

Out in the rolling hills of central Pennsylvania, the town of Hershey is adorable and so very wholesome.  How can you not love somewhere with streets named “Chocolate Avenue” and “Cocoa Avenue?”

Surrounded by grazing cows, it’s such a happy place.
Stay tuned for more on the inspirational Hershey Story!
