After a long hiatus, I’m back in the blogging saddle again, and I feel fine!  Aaah!  This type of writing brings me such joy, but I haven’t allowed myself the luxury.  I stopped while writing an upper middle grade novel, “The Girl Who Won the Revolutionary War.”  Now I’m facing the daunting task of finding a literary agent, so if you happen to know meet anyone in line at the grocery store, please steer them my way!

My novel tells the untold TRUE story of a “mighty girl” of the American Revolution who saves General Lafayette from capture.  (My friend is her descendant.)  It takes place late in the war when only French support was keeping the Patriot cause alive.  Fourteen-year-old Susanna Bolling longs to help her brothers return home in victory.

When British General Cornwallis arrives to quarter on her Virginia plantation, she overhears his plan to capture General Lafayette of France.  Alone under the cover of darkness, she risks everything to warn General Lafayette and return by sunrise.  Otherwise, the war will be lost and perhaps her brothers, too.

I’m looking for readers, too, if you’re interested!  Criticism welcomed and encouraged!

Oh, it’s so good to be back!
